MEMBERSHIPS EARNED FOR A "NUDE" PARTY OR EVENT.
Nude house parties and events help to keep the
Heartland Naturists an active and healthy club.
So a free one-year membership is a great way to
encourage members to host a "nude" party or event.
Free memberships given for parties/events are not
subject to the same expiration time table as regular
memberships. The following rules shall apply...
* One free years' membership for a house party or event.
* As a nudist organization Heartland Naturist
events or house parties must allow and promote
nudity.
* The event/party must be planned so that attendees
do not find themselves in jeopardy of the law or
other social sanctions. ( this is of course up
for discussion should problems arise ).
Reasonable care should be taken to see that
issues do not arise.
* The membership would begin the day after the
event and expire one year from that date.
* Only the first event or houseparty will count
towards the full-year membership. Subsequent
parties within the same year will not count.
* A member may not earn future memberships for
parties/events during the current year.
* The event should be deemed a "success" in regards
to attendance. Success is defined as either
3 Heartland members + 10 non-members or
5 Heartland members + 5 non-members
The Heartland Naturists are not obligated to
bestow a membership for a party/event that
does not attract anyone ( for whatever reason ).
suncerely,
Doug Wyatt
Heartland Naturists President

I sent them a check in october it still has not been cashed I put a stop payment on it but we got the wrong check number so the check is still a live out there I am still trying to find what happen to the check I wrote
I'm in the club and in similar position -a check I mailed for membership renewal also hasn't returned to the bank.
I'm not doing that work - I used to handle the Post Office Box and the incoming mail but haven't for several years - so I can't offer more than a word of apology for our tardiness and a sort of second hand explanation.
The club has recently changed officers and that's always disruptive when the jobs change within an organization. Handling other people's money should be a very high priority - right at the top of the list. However there is a hiccup in things at changeovers -takes a while to get new people signed onto the checking account, arrange for transfer of records, arrange for the mail which arrives in Overland Park to be picked up and acted on. Nothing would explain a two or three month delay but I'm pretty confident your check and my check are in a folder awaiting deposit. I myself get irritated when a check doesn't clear my bank after 2 or 3 weeks - makes balancing the account harder and it's easy to forget an old outstanding item.
I'm sure the new officers will get their roles sorted out over the next couple of weeks - the holidays have come in the midst of the transition - and the roster will be updated, checks will clear and new cards will be mailed out. I'm investing a bit more patience myself - would urge others to stick with it. If you're in the same boat as David and would like to confirm your status you can email the club at hnclub@kcsky.net - that goes simultaneously to three of the principals of the club and should garner a reply.
There's a learning curve for anybody taking on a new job - whether a job in the real world or a volunteer job in a nudist club. That's involved here and maybe just some lack of attention to membership matters during the transition.
Hope no one takes this as reason to lay off joining if you're so motivated - the club does need renewals and new members. When you mail in an app do follow up and check your status via an email. The new officers are keyed in on this problem and will be beefing up procedures for handling money, membership requests and renewals. And I'll make sure they see a copy of this exchange.
