I spent a short time at the cove Saturday, 2/5/05. Glad to report that there is not much trash this year. Also, the water level is back down to a more normal state. One of the stepping stones is completely visible and not covered by water.
There were some ladies there training dogs, but no problems with me down at the waters edge.
Thanks for the note - was the portable outhouse still in the field? The field leading to the Cove is used quite a bit apparently, field trials, eagle spotting, maybe some other things too.
When I was there on Jan 20th there was a portapotty in the field and lots of tire tracks so I think the field had been opened up for some event.
Has anyone ever seen the bald eagles there in the Cove area? I haven't but I think they nest somewhere nearby.
I only saw tire tracks, including those of the ladies that were setting up some sort of dog event. However, there was nothing down by waters edge, noticably, no tire tracks. I have never seen a bald eagle at the cove, would like to as I travel a couple of other places to see them.
