Hello everyone! Enjoyed the Sun Run more than I expected. 1st timer you see. I found the course quite challenging plus I didn't have as much stamina as I thought! Made it through to the finish line in 26.56 minutes (3.1 miles). Met a lot of swell people and was delighted with their friendly greetings and conversation. We all had a great lunch time provided by the club then most went swimming for a time which was also very much fun. A lot of fun people there.
I wanted to mention that I was at the Cove again today between about 3:30 and 6pm at which time I spoke to a nice gentleman as he passed by me when he noticed that some fishing had taken place over the weekend since there were about 30 or so dead fish laying in the area where we were wanting to sun bathe.
It was so objectionable that he left the area shortly thereafter. When I looked around I then noticed that they had pitched a tent and left rod poles many places. Before I left I gathered all the fish into a plastic bag and removed all of the rod poles then put the bag o fish and trash into a park waste receptacle. How can we convince people to clean up after themselves?
There are those of us who care and those of other groups who obviously do not care!!!
Looking forward to the next swim - see you fine folks there I hope. Enjoy!
Thanks for doing clean up duty - be a sweet smelling mess if 30 had stayed there rotting in the sun.
I'm going to run up there again this afternoon, Sunday 7-17-05. See what changes 24 hours have brought. None expected.
Thanks too for your interest in the Cove in general and this message board. Both take attention from users and as with all aspects of nudism some folks willing to do some maintenance to keep things on track.
