Tuesday was great at the cove. Quick reminder to self, sun screen and insect repellant. I had the place to myself for 2 1/2 hours. I had four ticks by the time I sat down and a couple more when I got home. Oh well. Anyway, as others have noted, the lake is still down and you can walk all the way around if you don't mind sinking in the mud a bit. Otherwise, it is nice to have the great weather back. Saw two great blue herons and several other water birds. Quite a few fishermen in boats out and about and only a couple came close to the north end of the cove. Hope others can get out and enjoy.
