And for the record - I'll be there. I'll be helping with some setup duties so hope to arrive early -coming from KC north of the River and driving a pick up. Will leave from home around 7 30 am with a couple of stops en route.
See that was easy and you don't to give all the narrative about how you'll spend your morning. But in case anybody needs a ride that's my story - leaving early to get there fairly early and plant to spend at least an hour or two on the grounds after the race and sandwiches.
In a word - hot. Not too surprising for mid July in Kansas City.
High of 94 Sunday,7-16-06. At race time, 10 am around 84, dewpoint 71 (humid, very) and light southeast wind - the course is mostly a north to south then back north course so slight headwind first half - following wind 2nd half.
Ya'll come. You can walk, stumble, run, jog, cantor, trot - do it your way so nobody has to push any harder than they want to.
Me - I'll be walking and there's water on the course and bottled water on hand.
