Has anyone been to the cove in the last 2 weeks? What is the water level like? How much of the beach is covered? I saw on the lake report last week that the lake was up 2 feet higher than normal.

I was at the Cove on Saturday. The beach is still mostly flooded.

Actually made it there twice this week...Monday and Wednesday afternoon...A few others there on Wednesday...Yes, the water level is still high, but there is some beach on the north side near the point; some right down in front; and very little on the south side of the cattails...Water temp is about perfect...Watch out for tics and in my case poison ivy (if you explore surrounding area)...Overall, as long as there aren't too many folks out there, you should be able to find a spot near the water...A beach chair helps due to the wet sand in some places...Have Fun!!!

i was there saturday and the water is now down. the beach is still a little muddy but a beach chair would work to lay out and soak up some rays.
