Just curious new to this whole thing really. I have been visiting beaches that are clothing optional and would like to make it out to the cove. I was curious what time you think is too late to drive out there. Like right now it is 7:51pm I am in Kansas City, KS. And I know it is a 30 minute drive out there but what time is too late. I am here until Thursday and could make it out there after 5pm the rest of the week. But today when I looked it up I thought it was going to be too late to drive out. Thank you.

Beautiful in the evening. Many deer and wild turkey to be seen. Usually a few people out there then. Very relaxing and can be fun.

Personally, I don't think I'd bother anytime after about 6 pm. It's a good 20-30 min drive and it cools off pretty quickly when the sun hangs low, so people head home. If you want to be there when other are there I'd try to be planted at the cove by 5 or 5:30, unless you can get there earlier.
