5k Sun Run Begins at 10:00AM (Registration 9:30AM)


Sun Run Entry Fee Is $25 Per Person (Paid To HN)
Grounds Fee For Gaea Is $5 Per Person (Paid To Gaea)


If you want to camp at Gaea on Saturday night, September 27, the overnight fee for Gaea is $10 per person (Paid To Gaea). We will begin arriving to set up the HN campsite in the afternoon on Saturday.

HN will provide drinks (water, tea, Gatorade) for the Sun Run
You may bring your own food and snacks if you wish



1st Prize is three free HN swim nights
2nd Prize is two free HN swim nights
3rd Prize is one free HN swim night

Who would have thought that one week we'd be in the mid- to upper-80's with lots of sunshine and the next week we'd be in the 60's with clouds and rain? The Sun Run is later in the year than ever before; partly by design, partly by circumstance. But the cool weather is Mother Nature's alone.

So, in the days leading up to the Sun Run weekend, I will ask everyone to think warm thoughts. Maybe it'll lead to one of those final great, sunny, warm weekends of the year.

I've seen that some can't make the date. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope everyone that can make it that weekend comes out to show that the event is still supported. I plan to be there and plan to camp out Saturday night (my first camping trip in a decade - also due to circumstance).

Great - glad to hear the event will take place and I'll make every effort to be there.

I hope everyone who's interested in keeping a Kansas City area clothing optional run going will also attend and spread the work - it is clothing optional so even your running friends who don't wish to do the course nude can attend and get a practice run in for other 5K events.

Thanks for following up and I hope to see a good contingent of runners show up.

If you plan to arrive on Saturday and would like to help with the set-up for the Sun Run (walking and marking trails, etc.), please e-mail the club e-mail address and let us know. We would like to know how much help we can expect and how much company we'll have Saturday night. Feel free to post your commitment to help or attend here on this board as well as it shows support for the event.

And to Echo what Dick said, tell all of your friends about it so we can have a good turnout. I personally want to see the Sun Run continued. Hopefully this will be my first of many to come.

We have sent notice to Edun, Show Me Acres, and Prairie Haven so they can let their membership know about the event.
