Long time supporter of The Heartland Naturists, nudism in the Kansas City area, and a friend to all she met, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, September 15, 2009. She will be missed immensely by everyone who knew her.
A previously-scheduled event to help raise funds for her treatment and various medical costs will be transformed into a Margical-Fest event to additionally celebrate her life. The event will be held:
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2009
Time: 5:00PM to 9:00PM
Spirit of Hope MMC Church
3801 Wyandotte
Kansas City, MO 64111
There will be Food, Dancing, Drumming, Silent Auction and a Raffle to help with Marge's alternative medical expenses. Items for the Silent Auction can be dropped off at Aquarius Books, 3936 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111. (816) 931-6303
Please bring a potluck item to share or a love offering to help with food costs. They will not be able to accept credit cards.
October is Marge's month
R.T. & Marge's wedding anniversary is October 7
Marge's birthday is October 28

Her favorite Holiday Halloween October 31
Marge expressed her wishes for prior events that, even though this is her month, "no Foo-Foo Gifts, she needs the cash to pay for her alternative medical costs".
If you cannot attend, then please keep Marge's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Hope there's a great turnout for the celebration of Marge's life - and for the fundraising aspect of the event.
Give me some idea as to things to contribute for the silent auction. I'd guess things in the $5 to $20 range would get the most action in the silent auction - books, CDs, computer accessories maybe. I'll try to think of some things I'd like to bid on myself.
I'll try to be there - even if you didn't know Marge it's a worthwhile cause and there'll be food and some good fun so come out if you can.
I attended the October 3rd,2009 Margical-Fest at Spirit of Hope MCC in honor of Marge Flemming. I got there a little before 7 and added a dish of lasagna to the pot luck table . Most had already been through the line but there were quite a few other later arrivals so the dish went home empty.
I found a table with three Heartland members, and later Geo and his family showed up so the Heartland club was represented by seven members and several past members. That was a small part of the overall crowd - I'd estimate that at maybe 60 folks. Some were via her art work, many from the Gaea, Heartland and Lake Edun communities, neighbors - a wide variety of people who knew Marge.
About five tables were set up for the silent auction with a variety of items - books, art work, lamps, household items - something for everybody. I won one and lost one of the items I bid on but did get a needed work light for the computer room for $3.00.
There was also a very nice display of Marge's artwork for sale - vases, pots, cups, various pieces of her ceramic and pottery work. Proceeds from the art work and the silent auction all went to RT to help with Marge's medical expenses.
Lots of pictures of Marge around the room and from everyone good memories of her warm heart and generous nature. She touched the life of everyone there in some manner and as Marge would have liked there was dancing and laughter along with the poignant memories.
Nice evening - if you were there go ahead and post your own impressions of the evening or recollections of Marge.
