As some of you may know my car was stolen on may 4th, then recovered on may 5th in the south bronx completely stripped of the interior (leather seats, radio, airbags, a/c control module, and busted steering column) i will post pictures that i have taken. anyway, the insurance company did not total it, to my amasement, but desided to restore it, but with used parts. turns out that it is in my policy that they reserve the right to put comprable (junk yard) parts into it. i tried to fight it, but our attorney general's office said that they can not do anything since i have signed the policy
, anyway, the shop that allstate had the car at wanted $5000 deposit to begin the repairs, so i took it out, and i am fixing it myself. so the pictures of the work going along will be posted on my website (www.blueiedgod.com) anyway, since they already gave me the money, and only a portion of the parts was listed at used prices, by doing the work my self i can put new parts from honda. the insurance company gave me $1000 for the radio so i got the 2002 am/fm/cass/6cd. i will have to locate the brackets at the junk yard though. also, by getting just the cushions and frames from honda and leather from mark, i am getting better quality leather seats.
anyway, this is just an update.
