I am looking for anything about CRVs off-roading around Sedona, Arizona. My bro-in-law took his Disco there last month and said that a CRV should be able to go out to the cliff-dwellings and other off-road places.

Has anyone on the forum done this and what was your experience?

and I would NOT take a CR-V. It's incredibly dusty and bumpy. We rented one of those Jeeps they have on the side of the road, and it could barely make it. You could do some serious damage to your vehicle out there. But if you aren't concerned about the rocks and brush, I'm sure a 'V could make it on a trail. It's just better piece of mind to rent a vehicle that is made for offroading to me. BTW: I LOVE Sedona. Have fun!

I've taken my 'V offroad and playing in mud and snow, but when I saw photos of backroads in Sedona, they seemed pretty rough. The dust is ok, but the rocks and brush would go better with a jeep rental.
Thanks!
