i watched brule play for columbus the other night and he was not effective at all. no amount of yelling, bag skating or positive comments will get him to play much better (other than the occasional game or shift). he's just not ready yet at the nhl level except in a learning mode.
many of the young rockets are in the same situation. i hear the the team is a very tight group, trying hard to remain positive, and look to the near future for better results. they just don't have the physical and mental makeup to do much more.
Asking for a good hard effort is reasonable. but remember the team got even younger due to trades.
i'm hoping this weekends games against the giants will bring out something different. they have nothing to lose and should be able to go out there and just play.
the major midget team is a very good team. then you realize that the whl rockets have 3 lines 4 d and a goalie that still waulify to play at that level.
