The Canadian Hockey League today announced the BMO Bank of Montreal CHL Top 10 Rankings for the week ending Sunday November 30. The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
The Gatineau Olympiques (22-6-4-0) have held the top spot in the BMO Top-10 every week this season. They picked up a win over the Lewiston MAINE-iacs and ties against the Shawinigan Cataractes and Drummondville Voltigeurs last week. The Kelowna Rockets (19-9-2-0) were 3-1-0-0 last week and jumped to second in the BMO Top-10. They had wins over the Seattle Thunderbirds, Everett Silvertips and Portland Winterhawks. The Rockets, who will host the 2004 MasterCard Memorial Cup in May, have won eight of their past 10 games. The Swift Current Broncos returned to the BMO Top-10 this week.
The extended their winning streak to five games with a 6-5 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on November 28 and picked up a tie against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on November 30.
The Guelph Storm (18-6-3-0) dropped one spot to fifth and are the top team in the OHL. They earned wins agains the Toronto St. Michael's Majors and Saginaw Spirit last week before dropping a 4-2 decision to the London Knights on November 30. The Knights (17-6-0-2) slid to eighth after a 2-1-0-0 week that included wins over the Storm and Erie Otters.
