Here's an interesting question to Ponder...If Leavold doesn't join the Rockets this year, does he even go pro? Hard to say...But either way, Brady you deserve it after the incredible season you just had. Congrats on the contract!!!

Why did Swift Current let Leavold go this year?

That is a bigger question.

April 4 2008, 8:35 PM

asked for a trade as he had some issues with the coach. someone from sc said they knew he had talent but it didn't come out very often. we didn't get to see him long enough.

Brady Leavold....

April 4 2008, 10:01 PM

had a terrific season with the Rockets. As a 20 he dominated. He could at times however march to his own drum, which he did, hence the benching he got mid season. If Swift had problems with him I can understand that. He did have a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin where he had Mike Eaves as a coach and ran into trouble which was non hockey related. Was released from Wisconsin and ended up back in Swift Current. At the time I thought that Eaves was in the wrong, now I am not so sure. Brady Leavold is a terrific talent when it comes to hockey, however I think at times he can be his own worst enemy. He was a pleasure to watch with Long and Benn, one of the best lines in the WHL. Wishing Brady all the best luck in the future.

Brady has never had a scholarship in Wisconsin and never even been there. He did play in Burnaby BCHL for one season. He loved his time in Kelowna and has fond memories of Swift Current. He is now playing in Victoria in the ECHL where he hopes to continue and advance his hockey carreer.

No, you must be thinking of another Brady Leavold..... He didn't play NCAA at all.

Dating back to his 16 year old season he has had WHL experience.

Keep this forum to yourself then

April 9 2008, 2:18 AM

Check your facts. Leavold got a NCAA scholarship out of Burnaby to the University of Wisconsin. My last post here, but will always spend my winters in Kelowna watching the Rockets. Great management with great coaches, they are worth the the entertainment value. Much better then a "happy hour" in the south.
