The Mustang Illustrated Facts and Specification Manual #MP 298 says that " the engine (429) is not available with air conditioning in combination with Drag-Pack axle, or Dual Ram Induction option and requires Cruise-O-Matic or close-ratio fourspeed manual transmission at extra cost."
But.. books have been wrong before.
