Don't get 'rebilked' by aftermarket trickery...

Here are six quick facts that should clear up what apears to be some confusion surrounding aftermarket parts:

1. The correct rebuild kit for your 429CJ pump is D0OZ-9349-A
2. This kit is obsolete from Ford & all major suppliers **
3. Despite a Ford-type p/n, SEMO's is a generic replacement kit....
4. ....which is manufactured for (and distributed by) AMK.
5. And this explains why it carries the 428CJ part number (C7AZ).

Please note: I don't bring this up because of any known problems.

Fact is, I presume the replacement kit will be fine under most conditions.  Still, I think you folks should be better informed about what you're paying for.  A cutesy part number alone does not a Genuine Ford part make.  Aftermarket suppliers don't often feel the need to test their parts the way Ford did.   :-)
