Just thought I would pass along this bit of info that was posted to the StangNet Classic Mustang forum, in case anyone was thinking of doing this. I've considered doing this before, and bagging my original block, so that it is not damaged.

A word of caution we dont want any uh-ohs around here! If you are going to swap CJ/SCJ heads onto a base 429 engine with early single eye-brow flattops you must enlarge (fly-cut) the valve relief or the big cj valves will hit the pistons. Have had it happen when claying piston to valve clearance on a friends motor, was glad we caught it when we did. Hope this helps.
p.s.) on valves we've used for street go with the 2-angle at .070-.080 seat width for competition go with a three angle at 0.050.
