Not getting technical, but I agree on things like labels and watershield, and some SMALL hoses
Well, many original equipment heater hoses were molded to avoid kinks. Virtually no service hoses were molded. Surely, heater hoses aren't "small"? but a/c compressors, tilt wheel parts, and stripe kits, ect. All these parts are listed in fords books Last time, I specifically wrote "A/C compressor guts" and "tilt column head". These parts were not serviced - go ahead and look, if you don't believe me. And as for the availability of stripe kits, I specified the kits which were classed as "'LPO' parts". By which I meant parts for certain vehicles of limited production. Ever see a Ford p/n for the stripes used on 1964 Indy 500 pace cars, or the "Twister Specials"? If you do, please let me know - I'd be very interested to learn.
Hope that helps clear up any confusion from my earlier post. :-) |
