With a cam with 300 degrees duration its not going to idle real well and bottom end torque will be real mushy and the tight converter in the C-6 isnt helping matters. Put a real loose converter so the engine will be in its "new" higher RPM powerband were it is making power now or a shorter duration cam , the Q-jet can be tuned to help the situation but only within reason. Just my 2-cents if it makes any sense.
