I'm home now, and when I look up the flat Black PPG codes in the "How to paint your mustang" book they don't match the PPG codes that are also listed in the 8/98 Mustang Monthly? The 8/98 issue is only one of the places that state the black paint isn't availiable from PPG anymore, but there are Sherwin Williams Codes listed for it?? As far as I do know though, PPG made the original paint used on our cars, by Ford. I won't try to state the number used for 71, because it depends on where I read it from. There may be a Sherwin mix code for all this, but PPG only had a part number for there ready made stuff. I've just happened to deal with PPG in the past. Dupont may also have mix codes for this black paint??
