I feel the time is right to wade into this conversation... My 429 cj C-6 incorporates a fuel pump that has the 3/8" main fuel line feed to the pump, and a 3/16"(I think this is the size from memory, it might be 5/16"...) return line from the pump to the fuel tank sending unit. This means that my fuel tank sending unit incorporates two conections for fuel lines, rather then the usual one fuel line connection found on other then 429cj 'stangs. Also, the fuel pump would have three fuel line connections: one for the 3/8" supply line, one for the 3/16"(5/16"?) fuel return line, and one for the fuel pump to carburetor supply line. This is accurate for the 429cj C-6 cars. I would think that it was also the same for the cj 4-spd cars. The question I have not been able to answer is if the fuel pump and connections are different on the scj cars, as their is a big difference in price when buying NOS versions of these fuel pumps. I believe Mr.F could answer this for us, when he has the chance, as this is where I purchased my cj pump earlier this year. Hope this helps :) Ken M.
