Dino songs to go
by
As the author of a 30-minute dinosaur book-musical (yes, it really is), let me offer my services to museums that will be hosting the Sue T-Rex exhibit and who may be looking for accompanying theatrical material. I am thinking in terms of preparing one or more songs specifically geared to this exhibit and the information it conveys if this appears to be of potential interest to such institutions. Anyone interested can email me.
Otherwise, that dino musical, The Cretaceous Cabaret, appears to be going great guns at Robin LaVoie's Mesa (Arizona) Southwest Museum (see our postings of Jan. 20). Using locally-auditioned actors, the Mesa museum has extended the run into August. Whether the show is attracting visitors who might not otherwise have planned to visit the museum is hard to say, but it seems clear that visitors who are in the museum when the show is on have found this to be an entertaining addition to museum attractions. For details on the show, see http://www.dennislivingston.com/cretaceouscabaret.htm
