costume and research response

Hi Robert,
Try contacting Geraint Thomas with Spectrum in London. They have the contract with the Imperial War Museum and should have a few clues for GI uniforms. I don't have his email, but try Cathy Needham at the Science Museum for it: c.needham@nmsi.ac.uk.
There is a whole big controversial area of research into how the arts affect learning and whether we can say there is any "transfer" to other disciplines. There was a study done by Anne Podlozny at Harvard's Project Zero that found a clear connection between drama and other learning. There is other research connecting especially music to mathematics. But there are many voices on both sides of this debate. Some would like the arts to remain pure and not try to connect to other subjects.
