Might I suggest that we also show our worth as "legitimate theatre"? I am co-chair of an advocacy movement called "Theatre For Life" that is sponsored by the Educational Theatre Association. The movement shows the impact of theatre in our community and the power of theatre to educate and ignite discussion. The program hopes to bring together all the theatre organizations in a community and impact decision makers. Theatre is being used in our schools, in museums, on professional and amateur stages, in senior citizen organizations and in business. Theatre not only entertains but strengthens our economy and gives back to its community.

An updated action guide will be available in early December. You can learn more about Theatre For Life at www.theatreforlife.org and the Educational Theatre Association at www.edta.org.
