Survey Method
by
Jim, And anyone else reading,
How do you physically conduct your surveys? Do you ask folks to fill something out? If so, is it handed to them as they go?
Do you ask them for a moment of their time and then ask some questions?
Do you do an "show of hands" survey before they leave their seats?
We find, when we do survey audiences (or just museum-goers in general), that they are EXTREMELY reluctant to give you even a minute to talk about the shows. Perhaps because the kids are so young. I'm not sure.
To IMTAL folks in general, is there an easy and efficient way to share various styles and methods of the exit survey forms? I know I sounded in my last message as if we must never do surveys but we certainly do. I just find in the present climate here that they don't go too far in helping Theatre specifically. But as we grow they could come in handy.
