Re: What is it we want to or should research?

by Robert Forshaw

Catherine,

For our needs, re - research, we would find great use in being able to see how Museum theatre can encourage repeat visists to our facility. With a small country as ours, with its obvious negative image we rely on our home market to keep us going rather than our international visitor, so we would like to see something on whether MT is what attracts people back to the same facility time and time again.

There is also a need to see educational benefits although I know the research that was presented at the conference is going quite some way to establish this.

Then areas that could also be looked at are its use as an effective tool for learning, conflict resolution something we are working on, special needs eduaction.

As for what is MT's main asset, for us in historical interpretation its the ability to bring to life some historical aspect that otherwise would be very dry to learn about indeed, its also its ability to be flexible and to be ever evolving.

Right best leave and get on with my work

Cheers
