Museum Theatre 'tour' ideas

by

My name is Barry Kay and I am Interpretive Theatre Development Manager at Sovereign Hill.
Sovereign Hill is an outdoor living museum in Ballarat, Australia which celebrates the first ten years of the gold rush from 1851 - 1861. There are about 200 costumed interpreters on staff and daily street theatre is presented (plus traditional pantomimes in our 200 seat theatre during holidays)
I am really keen to develop more potent and effective interpretive theatre at Sovereign Hill but I need to find out what is happening in the 'industry' first.
I am hoping to get a grant to travel and see what sort of Museum Theatre is 'out there' so to speak.
Can anyone recommend the best places to go to get a good overview of what can be done?
