Greetings to all! It's nice to finally be able to put some faces to some of the names I've seen over the past several years.

For the life of me I have yet to succesfully post a pic in here, but here's a link to my photo:

I'm Andrew Desautels, born in Vermont USA in 1971, and I currently live in Tucson Arizona, home of Davis-Monthan AFB and AMARC. I live a dual life as a musician/composer and as a passionate air combat historian.

On the musical side, I have a master's degree in music composition, and my musical masterpiece, a tribute to the battleship USS Arizona, was last performed in May 2003 by the Tucson Pops Orchestra to an audience of about 8,000 people. I am also an accomplished flutist, a former teacher (4 years teaching inner city schools...UGH!!!), and an assistant church music director.

As my nic implies, I have a nearly lifelong interest/passion in the Jolly Rogers squadron. I've spent nearly a half decade compiling a complete history on their 60+ years serving freedom. Some of the yet-unpublished photos from my personal collection are on Jose Herculano's excellent Jolly Rogers site, in the VF-61 section. I've also managed to model almost their entire history in 1/72, about two dozen aircraft so far.
