Hello all,

I'm Viv Mulcahy. Aged 57 (so I definitely qualify as an Old Fart), born in Dublin, Ireland, living in Luxembourg since 1984, working with an investment bank as a policy analyst.

I am divorced with two fantastic daughters, aged 21 and 16.

Have been fascinated by aircraft for longer than I can remember. Early aviation memories: Three JU-52s in a formation takeoff out of Dublin, the Bristol Brabazon flying over Dublin. Most memorable flights (a) in a C-47 (my first flight, aged 6), (b) in a Comet 4, (c) London-Lusaka in a Bristol Britannia (with 5 enroute stops).

Have done some sailplane flying - who needs an engine anyway?

Have been modelling since age 5, with the usual break for girls, cars and beer. Started again about 5 years ago as post-divorce therapy (works great).

Main modelling interests are 1/48th aircraft, with the emphasis on WWII and the 1950s and 60s.

Love this site, I would take my hat off to Brett for all his great work (if I wore a hat).
