Greetings to all! Tom here reporting in. I'm a 51 year old Chief Technology Officer for a large travel management firm and a retired Army officer (22 yrs). I've been married all of my life (well, 32 years of it, anyways) and have three grown children. I'm also a new and first-time Grandpa as of one week ago. Life is good.
I favor 1/48th scale, particularly props from WWII and Korea, though in a former life I was heavily into Middle East armor. I've been modeling around 45 years, with only minor breaks interspersed throughout (college, grad school, child-rearing). My son has been involved in modeling, too, and I've now gotten my son-in-law started. I'm a bad man, or so my daughter thinks now that her husband is buying kits.
I also model 1:1 cars and own a '55 BelAir (I'll post a pic one of thse days) though I recently sold my Nova and '32 Ford Cabriolet. My wife really likes my plastic kits much better than my steel cars. For the life of me I just don't understand why...
I really love the new forums Brett has added and, like the others, extend my gratitude to him for Hyperscale.
