My name is Bill Combs, and I'm a recent returnee to modeling after a long absence. I'm 47, A US Navy Commander, an E-2C air controller by trade, now serving my last tour prior to retirment at a home town posting at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. I'm heading up a small joint service office here dealing with cockpit and display symbology issues. I'm married with one 21 year old son, and an impending arrival in the form of a Chinese daughter sometime later this year.
I've been "lurking" around HyperScale for about a year now, as I edge my way back into the hobby. Super site, and I am continually amazed at the work I see on the site, and the great job done by Brent managing all of it! Just completed construction of my first model in nearly 30 years...and, boy do the skills deteriorate over time! Looking to concentrate on USN carrier aviation in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales.
