. . . although a tad hot in the summer and very chilly in the winter (Spent this morning scraping ice off my car window), it is a lovely town.
In two hours (Or three, depending upon destination) I could be skiing at Mount Shasta or the Donner Summit/Tahoe area . . . in three hours I could be gazing upon the Pacific Ocean . . . fishing and hunting abound (Some of the best duck and goose hunting in California is here) . . . waterskiing/boating at numerous lakes . . . camping in the glorious Shasta Cascade mountains . . . I can drive miles and miles through farmland without going through a town/city . . . the glorious city of San Francisco and its bay area is just a few hours away, as is the fun and glitter of Reno Nevada . . . wonderful.
About the only downside is that due to increased population and the layout of the city (The freeway and park/creek form a giant X in the middle of town) which limits crosstown traffic, driving is getting a bit congested. Still beats livin' in da big city!
