Here is a picture of me and 2 of my best buddies. Jacob Ronald, in the picture is 3 months old and Rocky is 10 years old. The smiley little guy is what keeps me going when I know he is coming over for a few hours to laugh and smile with Rocky and me. I myself am just a little over 600 months old.
I got back into modeling in May 2003 because I am disabled for the last 10 years and needed something to do with my hands. Mostly I build 1/48 scale WW II aircraft and a few 1/72 ships/boats and you know which ones. My skills are coming along just fine with the help from many incredible HS modelers.
While I could work, I was an Executive Chef and got to work along side the 9th best Chef in the world for 2.5 years. Just a fantastic opportunity to get to work with such a highly skilled professional in the work area you have chose for your lively hood. I was in fine dinning all of my time as a Chef, $35.00 per plate and above and loved every minute of it while my health would let me work.
I have to say that 99.99999999% of all the modelers on Hyper Scale are just so helpful and friendly. When I try to explain how this community is to my friends they just can't believe what I'm telling them. Hell, it is very hard to get 10 people in the same room to order the same thing on a pizza and all the help and tips that are posted daily just blows me away.
Thanks so much for making my come back into modeling so painless.
