      Hello John, I'm new to this forum too. I fact your posting was the spur to me to join in. I've been a regular 'lurker' for years but took a while to get off my chair and do it.

      So, kits in the attic? Sorry John, I've only got a wardrobe full at thhe moment but I have a feeling that that's not entirely normal either - whatever normal might mean. I sure would like a collection like yours, especially right now when prices of kits are skyrocketing. £40 for new Tamiya 1:48!! Perhaps that's a point you could make to your fiance - they are a sound investment as well as an entertaining, educating and friendly hobby. Good luck mate.
