First off i am going to address this whole wrestlers are the only ones that post here bullshit. Now if anybody thinks I would waste my time on this board to have a place where simply only wrestlers can argue back and forth with ecah other, your crazy.
Ill start with some history. I started this board in 1998 and for at least the first year, maybe more, no wrestlers posted here. They may have read it but i doubt any posted here,all the posts were just from fans. Now obviously at first I didnt get thosands of hits a day, but it didnt pretty good at first and grew over the years, by simple word of mouth, and people seeing the link to the board listing on various places on the internet. I used to go to shows usually weekly for like 7 or 8 years and I know how many fans that I told about this place just by myself, not to mention how many they told etc., which I also know they did.
Then after a while wrestlers started posting here, along with promoters etc. which was a good thing and kind of what i wanted all along, the fans and wrestlers to be able to interact with ecah other.
So as the years went by the board got more and more visitors and yes alot more wrestlers, because by now I think basically any wrestler in at least 3 states knows about this board. And do you know how? It was from wrestlers telling other wrestlers about it.
Note: I never even told one wrestler about this board. They simply learned it from other wrestlers. So my question is if other wrestlers can pass it along, why wouldnt other fans? Well of coarse they would, and do. The fans just didnt disappear. Thats sound as fucking stupid as vince mcmahon saying that the original ecw fans dont exist anymore. What did they all just die or something?
Now im not going to say that no wrestlers ever makes posts here because they do. But what I am going to say is that to many wrestlers are simply just too paranoid. They think that if its a good post or a bad post that it has to be another wrestler out trying to get them, and in no way could it be an actual fan that just didnt like something,or loved something, or it could be an actual fan that is just too loyal to one fed that he or she feels the need to try to bring down another fed to make their favorite look better. That also happens. You all need to understand that fas love to interact with the wrestlers. Fans love to know dirt and the inside stuff and all that shit. Shoot interview dont sell so good because fans dont care about that stuff. They do. Especially now when the wwe is so bad and vince doesnt give a fuck what anybody has to say about it. Yes fans will take their time to tell you what they want you to hear about what they thought of your show.
I still get a whole bunch of emails a week about this board and site and yes there are many from wrestlers, but the fans emails out weigh the wrestlers by far. Probably the most often question is why do people think us fans dont read this board?
So now that I said all of this you can believe what you like. I really dont care anymore. It used to annoy me but not anymore. If you want to be stupid now that you have heard the facts thats up to you.
Now on to message board rules. These were updated recently to be more easier to understand. I suggest everybody read them. I have been editing to many posts recently, and im getting tired of doing it. Im simply going to start erasing post that violate rules, so if you want to waste your time posting for nothing thats up to you.
Now onto obvious bashing posts. I think by now anybody that reads this board (and has a clue)can tell when anything negative is simply jealous bullshit posted by a jealous person, rather than just something that didnt like something.
I think its no coincidence that when some of the main feds that are constanly getting ripped on for no reason are also the ones that are now growing bigger and getting more attendance and more shows in more areas. I think the whole svwonline posts showed simply that the more you bash a fed for no reason, the more attention you give it and the more popular it becomes. Same with AIW.
I also read that whole post about Sassy Stephanie's myspace and i thought she seemed like a person who simply wanted to make it in indy wrestling so i added her to the women of indy wrestling page at http://sassystephanie.indywrestling.net
with out that post i would have never known who she was so it was a good plug for her.
So in closing something a bit more positive. I was going to get it setup with some more pics and info first but since im already posting this short story here so i my as well will go ahead with it. I started a myspace for indywrestling.net at http://myspace.indywrestling.net
Basically it is for easier site updates and to make it much easier to link other wrestlers and wrestling feds. So if you are a wrestler, valet, or wrestling fed that wants to be linked just go there and sign up. I have alot of the main feds already, but i dont know addresses for some other feds and wrestlers, so if you want linked sign up, if not then disregard this part of the story.
Some people are like Slinkies........They serve no apparent purpose in life other than to occasionally bring joy to ones heart when they are pushed down a flight of stairs.
