I think it depends on who the pictures are being taken with. I think that if the "wrestlers" in question look like Sean Dahmer & Kid Cupid or the Jay Miller skin and bones type* and they post pictures of themselves with Wrestlers that look like HHH or Kurt Angle then yes, I believe fans would look at them and say: come on! They think they're pro wrestlers!
However, on the flip side if athletic wrestlers with good looks post pictures of themselves with wrestlers that look like HHH or Angle then they'd at least LOOK like they belong. Which COULD be good for the indy wrestler in question.
Before, some anon jumps on me saying thats not how it works! I have news for you I've seen fans use that type of logic again and again! One example that pops to mind is years ago @ the old CAPW on STO tapings. I must have heard ticket buying fans ask the same question about most of undercard. Whats are these guys doing on a show with real wrestlers? The names mentioned ran from Canadian Bad Boy & The Bouncer to Barry Sagitarious & Aftermath.
I know the first implose of some posters may be to dog on the fans, but that would raise questions I doubt anyone wants to answer. Like, If the fans are just stupid and don't know anything then why did CAPW go from running every month on TV with big names to spot shows here and there?
*Thats not a personal attack! Its just what I think would happen based on the past. They may very well be great guys, but how many fans would give them a chance after seeing a photo like that? Considering that drawing 200 fans is claimed as a HUGE deal on the indies arounf here I'd say not many!
