"Chance, you are very good at what you do, but if you think you or any Indy Worker is going to make a living off working Indy shows, then your nuts. Tracy Smothers for Pete's sake is a name, who has worked for every major US and Japanese company around, has a shoot job to help pay the bills. Exception for maybe a few ROH Guys like Chris Hero, Roderick Strong, who get booked all over the world, anyone who isn't in WWE or TNA, is working a shoot job to pay the bills. So if your not using wrestling to pay the bills, then yeah, wrestling sort of is a Hobby. I have even talked to Former WWE,WCW ECW, TNA Guys who currently work shoot jobs, Like Kamala, Bob Orton, Sandman just to name a few, and like I stated above, Tracy Smothers. So point being if those guys are names in this business, and have been to the big 4 at one time or another, and have to work a shoot job, then you think you can honestly make a living working indy shows, and that Lesser and cheaper talent then you is stopping this from happening? To Quote Chris Carter and Keyshawn Johnson " Come on Man""

100% correct. As for anyone who is insulted when the business is called "a hobby," you are delusional. Unless you work for WWE or TNA (and maybe, ROH), you need a real job. In fact, the number of people who work in the "Big 3" have a very short shelf life. Almost all will be working "real jobs" soon. So by definition, the indy life is a hobby.
