Bishops took the lead when Blyth's keeper was pushed off the ball and Ellison prodded the ball home, expecting a free kick to be given for a blatent foul. However the ref signalled for a goal much to the disbelief of everyone in the ground.

Despite the ref not protecting the players from Bishop's cheating and general foul play Blyth still came back with a Carl Pepper pen and second half goals from Stewart, Skelton and Scroggins to wrap up the match. No surprise to see underhand tactics where Colin Richardson is involved.

MOM: Lee Scroggins

Referee had a shocker

Both sides fielded weakened sides but Bishops were poor. The football has gone and its pure intimidation and foul play, the ref let things go early doors then never looked like being able to control the players. Never seen a game with so many tackles from behind and all unpunished.
MOM Steve Stewart. Superb, he ran Bishops ragged.

Poor Ref

The referee in question has done many games at croft park in the past, and he gets no better. How the hell do we keep getting lumbered with him. He also reffed the Blyth / Bishops game on Bank holiday monday, allowing the Bishop players to get away with some serious bad fouling.

As for Stewart getting M.O.M, I agree, he was outstanding. Did you notice he was playing in a more central role, as opposed to the left wing.

Charlton take notice.

Bishops

I wasn't at the match but am really disappointed to hear the terms used to describe Bishops play, as Tony Lee, no matter what people say about him, has always made his teams play football.
