Thornley for Unibond after 1 minute, then Peyton of Nuneaton equalise with a penalty for the Fa, Simon Marples of Donny Rovers scored a second and that's how it stayed until Half-Time.
Numerous changes were made and Yeo came on and he had a great link up with Thornley. Townsend of Worksop scored a great equliser, shrugging of a couple of challenges and slipping past the keeper. The FA XI retook the lead with Pickford of Stalybridge curling past Duke.
Yeo looked very sharp and he ran on to a ball from Thornley and he nutmegged Woods of Scarborough.
Unibond took the lead when Thornley was pulled down and he gave the penalty to Yeo who easily tucked it away sending the keeper the wrong way.
Good crowd of 662 a few from Burton.
Few Players that caught the eye Hume of Barrow was excellent good awareness and a good strong tackle.
Thornley played well as did Yeo. Something for John Owens to think about.
He's the England Semi-Pro manager by the way before people ask. | |
