4 knobheads, claiming to be 'the chief' from barrow, goosehunter, and 2 others who i can't remember of the top of my head have decided to swamp Hucknall's message board, they claim to have already hit Burscough's - any idea's how to get rid, it could become a problem for the rest of you.?

sad isn't it - try...

1) use a message board that forces users to register, and that allows you to prevent users accessing the forum. genuine users rarely object to spending a minute or so registering to use the forum. of course the culprits can re-register if they really have nothing better to do.

2) simply delete all irrelevant messages from your forum, check it a couple of times a day and clear postings that aren't in keeping with the spirit of the forum.

3) if the abuse of your board continues use a forum that records ip addresses, this can be used to trace a users isp who in turn will cancel accounts of customers who post nuisance messages, particularly if they are abusive.
