My understanding of the promotion/relegation/play-offs/ground grading farce is this:

Harrogate Town (Div 1 champs) replace Bishop Auckland, who are being kicked out of the Prem because of their ground.

Ashton (third) face Spennymoor (fourth), while Radcliffe (fifth) play Bamber Bridge (bottom of Prem) in the play-offs.

It all seems a bit harsh on Ossett Town to me. We were there in the middle of April, and from what their people were saying the UniBond League had changed the goalposts at the start of the month, otherwise their ground would have been acceptable.

Why do teams need covered acommodation for 1,000 fans anyway?

covered accomodation

in case you play Man Utd pre season.....oh, that'll be us then....:)

We have to have a 4th turnstile, and we don't use the 3 we have, some of the grading is down to what you need for the next league up, sort of, and a lot to do with someone making a list of things that would look nice in a ground, but mostly it is to do with making it up as you go along.

Anyone guess which clubs the grading committee belong to..??

clue: their grounds are some of the worst in the league.....allegedly

Yeah well, it should all get sorted at the end of next season when those clubs whose grounds aren't up to scratch will be relegated anyway.

Personally, I think this ground grading malarky is a bit daft anyway. So long as a club can safely house as many people as turn up for each game (and big games are all ticket), does it matter?
