darren roberts aint that good.
he has very little pace and doesnt work very hard.
his scoring record with us was poor and i think you already have better strikers than him, if he's leading your line next year we can rule you out of the title race now!

On Championship Manager 99/00 he's in my Scarborough side which are currently 17 points clear at the top of the Conference in my first season, he came on with 10 minutes to go in one game against Altrincham in the FA Cup and scored 4 goals, so you never know!

Maybe, but in my CM, Leek Town are 2 points clear at the top of the 1st division!

Why isn't Andy Quy as good in real life as he was on Champ Manager 95/96?

Oh and Liam Walshe once made the Republic of Ireland squad for the World Cup 2006 on 00/01!

he may be good on champ man but I took Doncaster from the conference to the prem in successive seasons, I won the champions league on the first time of asking and I've done the treble too.

Seen as I usually pick a side from the Conference to manage on CM 99/00 (it's boring managing a big side) I end up buying several players from the UniBond League past, present and future (weren't in the UniBond in 99/00 but are now, if you catch my drift))...

Currently in my Scarborough team are David Felgate (Leigh R.M.I.), Lee Gardner (signed from Frickley), Gavin Bassinder (signed from Barnsley but was at Gainsborough last season), Matthew Taylor (Hyde United), Dale Hawtin (signed from Leek Town, but now at Hyde United), John Foster (ex Hyde United, now at Mossley), Brendan Burke (Alty + 'Bridge) and Lee Trundle (signed from Southport but used to play for Stalybridge).

I've also got Shaun Bartlett in there as well, who's scores an average of 1.5 goals a game!

Somebdoy could do with researching the Hyde United squad. I've got the demo for the current season and some of the information is vastly out of date, like having Prince Moncrieffe in the squad - he was sent packing a few years ago after he gobbed on another player.

i contacted them about doing gateshead but they never got back to me. I wish they would because i could tell them that half our players left seasons ago and that jim platt is not manager anymore.

Alan, Pete Sotrell is the bloke to get in touch with but you have to persistently push him to be a researcher. Get in there quick cos development is well underway on CM4. I don't have a sodding clue who'll be playing for Belper next season so I won't be sending off my research until just before the pre-season friendlies!

On the new champ manager I got the mighty stalybridge up to the premiership before getting sacked for moaning about the ground only being 6,500, ah well.
you cannot have everything!
