I would go for the usual suspects of Barrow, Accy, Alty. Stalybridge will have a very good chance of winning the league but you never can tell how they might perform after dropping from the conference. I think Worksop have a good chance too after making a few good signings (hopefully!!).
I wouldnt stick me neck out to say whose going to win the league because there is too many teams who are close on class.
I don't think a Tameside club will win it. There's too many derbies and the past few years have shown that these don't go to form.
It's going to be either Accrington Stanley or Worksop Town for me, although I doubt Worksop could get into the Conference with their current ground (nice food though).
I believe that if we do win the league this season, they might be a grounshare with someone (dunno who) as work starts on worksops new ground sometime next year and should be ready for the season after. Dont hold me to all that though lol
i`d like to see one of the better teams to visit the Turnbull ground to win it this year, Accrington Stanley. It wud b nice to see a true unibond team win the title. Burton should have never been allowed it, and just think Vauxhall mite have gone straight throo the leagues.
Do any other fans agree that there shouldnt be any switches from other leagues?
But i want to see Hyde down, as they slipped the net this year @ the expense of a gr8 north east club.
I think it's good to see some different teams every now and then. Although it nearly killed our club, I loved the season we spent in the Doc Martens League.
> But i want to see Hyde down, as they slipped the net this year @ the expense of a gr8 north east club.
So we should be punished because of another club's disability to sort out a groundshare?
As for swapping leagues, I don't have a problem with it. After all, Burton are situated in an area in which plenty of established UniBond League sides are situated. It's not like they've come up from Dover or something.
Ok, you can stop laughing now I was only joking.
Its not completely impossible though...we came 7th last season
Seriously though, Id like to see Accy Stan do well. I dont want Alty too win it though (big runcorn-alty rivalry thing, dont know why it is)
More chance of a good 90 minutes out of Heskey, than any of us challenging!

The one North East team with real title ideals has to be Spennymoor, be very surprised if they don't come up as, at least runners up.
As for Blyth, Whitby & G***head it will prove another long haul neither of us will realisticaly challenge for a number of reasons: finances, players, support etc.
It'll be interesting who'll be top dogs come May.

Can't see it being us. Is there any interest in the club?
Mind you we did well to finish 5th. Another 4 points would have put us 3rd.After a terrible start we only stuttered due to he fixture congestion at the end of the season, losing to Whitby twice and at Colwyn.
I think that all the work that Stanley are putting into their ground deserves success.
"how much did you pay to get bishops relegated and osset staying down?"
My thoughts exactly. There shouldnt be ANY ground grading issues in the same league. Its not like the Football League say sorry you cant go into Div 1 as your ground isnt good enough. Its a load of crap, a con, and makes the league a mockery and laughing stock. If you finish in the relegation zone - you are relegated thats that. Same for poor Ossett Town who proved they totally deserved to be promoted.
Commonsense should have prevailed with Gretna goin to Scotland and relegate Kendal (sorry lads) and relegate Hyde to get both division back to the 22 teams each.
