Although I agree with you that Lincoln have the best burgers... surely.. SURELY the Chorley pie is the number one. Victory Park has become a mecca for Nailers fans, for one reason (and the fact they do Bacon Barms), their awesome pies. Even former Welsh international goalie and ex-Leigh RMI goalie David Felgate, who must have chomped his way through a few pies in his time, said they were the best in the Unibond. Other good pies include Stocksbridge, Spennymoor (but I'm not going there again!) and blow me down, even bloody Matlock do a decent pie. Our fodder in my opinion is let down by its pies but more than made up for with it's Jerry Howarth's (a culinary genius) pasties and the damn good, if over-priced burgers.
Worst pies? Workington (by a long shot) and Leek ("the oven's broke"). Oh and Harrogate, but we aint going there no more, thank GOD!
We don't have pies at Droylsden as 'apprently' there is no demand for them - b******s!!!
We are fighting for them with little success, we have to put up with a 1inch burger on a 2inch bun - ****e.
And if theres no demand for them, which there most definatley is, then why do the clubs committee go out at half time and buy 5-10 between them at greggs.
Oh dear, I remember when we went into pie famine status, we didn't even have our famed cornish pasties for a whole season! Twas a disastrous period I tells ya, but what you need is a protest. Every football fan has a right to eat pies.
Aat Stanley there have been no pies for the last two seasons. However it was put on www.accringtonstanley.co.uk during the last season that theyt will be making a come back for the 2002/03 season
We do protest every game, but they are adamant that football fans dont eat pies!!! We make a point of asking for pies even though we know there wont be any. When we get told there is none we dont get anything. this way the message might get across. Just shows how badly our club is run it is just there as a rich mans play thing.
