Having got the impression that ATFC expect to do well, can I just remind them that they're no longer in one of the feeder leagues? Chucking away a two-goal lead at Trafford last night was sloppy. I was pleased for Trafford (my local teambut this was one of those results which didn't reflect the game as a whole, just as Witton's two late goals against Trafford on Saturday gave the scoreline a flattering look.

Sloppy

Sloppy was exactly the word Alfreton manager Dave Lloyd used after the match. First half was men against boys (literally). Couldn't understand why your No 14 Cowley wasn't on from the start. He made all the difference. Your keeper was also magnificent, especially considering he was carrying a knock. Win at home draw away isn't a bad formula, but it was 2 points lost for us rather than one one. Thanks for the warm welcome, too.

Sound until your millionaire backer gets bored of his new toy and takes all his money out, leaving you with a nice big wage bill to pay.

Look, we had enough of the green-eyed monsters in the NCEL. The chairman is a man of his word, and is building a CLUB not just a team. The evidence of that is clear to all who visit North Street. Mr Bradley won't get bored, and he's not the type of man to leave a club in the ssh, you know what.

"gets bored of his new toy"

Hardly new - he's been there 4 years already.......

Let's squash any talk of big wages straight away. The playing budget is what you would reasonably expect for a team at this level. Good players want to play for successful teams and it's taken three years to get to that stage. I wonder why Matlock can't find a striker to partner Taylor up front?
