| After frantic & protracted negotiations between the clubs officials, solicitors and the FA. Spennymoor United have now been re-instated and can now start their season beginning with the FA Cup tie against Consett on Saturday. Club chairman Barrie Hindmarch said of the descision, "This is tremendous news, the club can now move forward, its like Christmas all over again." Preparation now has to begin for the match and he has also appealed to the clubs supporters to come to the Brewery Field and help ready the ground for Saturdays cup tie and hopes that the good news following the FA suspension will draw a good crowd against Consett.
Tony Lee and his players can now do the talking on the pitch now that the politics is hopefully behind us.
