Hyde won 7-3 scored some quality goals against a poor defence, but our defence looked shaky as we eased off.

Hyde struck first blood when Foster chipped the keeper to score.

Tow Law had a couple of chances which Peter Crookes had to be alert to.

Hyde increased thier lead when Foster turned the right back and hit a screamer into the top corner.
Foster got his hat-trick when a good run and cross by Ashwell found Foster on his own in the area and he did the rest to score a super Hat-Trick
Hyde increased thier lead right on half-time when a shot was flashed across goal and Evans tapped in at the far post.

Hyde came out second half and immediatly scored a fifth when an unmarked Ashwell headed in.
Tow Law got one back when a shot was parried by Crookes and Nichlason tapped in.

Hyde increased thier lead when Ashwell found Richard Eyre and he scored a sublime chip to make it 6.
Tow Law scored a penalty and another consolation before Evans wrapped it up near the end.

The Tow Law fans arrived drunk and were allowd into the ground with thier flag which said ''Tow Law Town Misfits which is a bit of an understatement. They came over and abused the Hyde bench and also urinted in the bins and the police had to be called. Fortunately the Hyde bench or fans didn't react otherwise it could have been nasty.

Good old Tow Law Town fans. Only joking. That's what happens when Northern League fans have to travel more than 2 hours to an away game.

Gateshead lost 3-4 to Barrow. Report on my site and the Barrow one.

The attendance for our game was 295. 250 of them were Barrow fans. Thanks our biggest attendance of the season Barrow.

Anyone know how Harrogate got on as we're playing them on Tuesday, unless they drew of course.

No surprise ther Luke, They have a bit of a reputation.

September 29 2002, 9:20 AM

They have a bit of a bad reputation from their F.A Vase travels, sure during one recent vase campaigns there was serious trouble at one game !!!.
I think it was last season one of there Vase opponents, some team called: SOMETHING ?, Gabriels attempted to make their Vase tie all ticket !!!.

Correction

It was Billingham Town, not Billingham Synthonia. 2 seperate entities altogether.
