Wow what a game
11 goals, 5 penners, 4 sendings off not bad for a fivers worth.
That No 7 for speenymoor what a plum what was he doing chasing kids off the field
4-2 down then 4-4 everyone is exited then we score the fifth from a top-notch free kick,
Then all the kids run on the pitch in exictement and he goes and wants to hit em all waht a disgrace
Jody Banim all 3 goals were class
COME ON THE BORO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jody Banim how I would have him back tomorrow for Hyde somebody who could hold a ball up and isn't frightened of shooting nine times out of 10 it finds the back of the net as well.

Up for grabs

December 8 2002, 7:06 PM

Like I said on another thread, looking forward to it. Whoever wins the league, there are three promotion places up for grabs (including the play-off), so there's still loads of incentive for the leading clubs, including your lads. We would have to collapse big time not to win it, but it's happened to other clubs before - and happened to us in the mid-90s - so I can assure you that no-one at Alfreton is counting any chickens or taking anything for granted. Saturday was a case of when you're up there you get the luck. We could have gone 2-0 down early in the second half, Stocksbridge hit the post, we got a penalty which the home side claimed with some justification was ball to hand, and we won it with an own goal. Not quite as eventful as at Radcliffe, but not far off!

Cheers,
It can happen like it did to us last year we were unbeatable before christmas and running away with the league and then we blew then we were 2nd untill april and ended up finishing 5 and losing to bamber bridge in the play-offs, so there a chance it can happen but like you said it would have to be a big one
COME ON THE BORO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
