what does every1 think 2 playoffs in the unibond? the confrence rules have just changed 1 up and 4 playoffs, i think they should be the same structure in our league! it would be much more competitive! much more 2 play 4 as well! wouldnt back against whitby 2 grab the last playoff spot like!! sea sea seasiders!!! if it did change it would prob be

1. Worksop (Automatic Promotion)
2. vauxhall (Playoff)
3. accrington (playoff)
4. stalybridge (Playoff)
5. WHITBY TOWN (Playoff)

But what would be the benefit of it. The reason the conference are using them is for the 2nd promotion place, what is there to play for after the one automatic promotion place?! Would anyone want to go and see a match that meant nothing except for pride once the 1 promotion place has gone. The only reason to use it is for an extra promotion place or in Div 1 which is alreasy in effect (although slightly different)

daba I would agree with you 100%. why isnt it the same throughout the leagues.. two up and two down from the conference with playoffs for the second spot.. would keep the season alive for half the division

Top of Unibond, Dr Martens and Ryman all go automatically.

Then say the other top 8 teams in each division play off against each other in a one off match to a final where that winner gets another prormotion spot??

Nice theory, but you're asking the Conference to relegate four. I can see their clubs queueing up to agree to that one!

why doesn't each feeder league have a big playoff system where all the teams play each other twice and then the team who finishes top gets promoted?

a unibond prem play off would be crap anyway. whoever finishes in a position in the league deserves to get the recognition of that place.

A rubbish idea. If each feeder league to the Conference took that on board, there'd be 6 relegated from the Conference. I agree with Gordon. and think it's just some silly idea that makes Whitby look great. Think the dictionary has a term for it, something like "Glory-hunting".
