A report in yesterday's Nottingham Evening Post indicates that Eastwood Town's future has been plunged into crisis. The club has been rocked by the resignation of chairman Gary Hardy, and his company, Apex Windows, have pulled out as main sponsors. Four players have already left the club - Gary Breach, Richard Butler, Mark Laws and Tom Betteridge, and manager Bryan Chambers - who has been in charge at Cortonation Park for 10 years - also says he is close to throwing in the towel.
Let's hope the Badgers can overcome their crisis. They gave my lot (Alfreton) a very good game last Saturday despite losing 4-1, the scoreline flattered us, but their chances of avoiding relegation - if indeed there is any relegation - look bleak in the light of this latest devastating news. |
